Healthy Homemade Hot Cocoa

While there are great pre-made hot cocoa mixes on the market, sometimes you run out, or you have food allergies to some of the ingredients. Here is a great recipe you can use to make one cup or a whole jar of cocoa mix. This makes a great inexpensive gift. Just pour the mix in a mason jar with instructions. By the way, we have a great Dagoba® cocoa mix here at All Is Well, if you don’t want to make your own.

Hot Cocoa Mix

Ingredients (Makes one cup):

1.5 Tbsp Chatfield’s® Cocoa Powder

1Tbsp Bob’s Red Mill® Coconut Sugar

1/8 tsp Simply Organic® Cinnamon

1/8 tsp Real Salt® Sea Salt

Directions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl if making a large quantity or a mug if making one cup.
  2. Multiply the ingredients as necessary for the amount you would like.
  3. Mix 1 cup of warm milk with 2.5 Tbsp hot cocoa mix. So Delicious® almond or coconut milk is a great option for those with dairy allergies. Organic Valley® grass-fed cow’s milk is also a great option.

We have all the ingredients you need to make your hot cocoa here at All Is Well.

We wish you and your family

Happy Holidays!
