4th of July Done Right

Since the 4th of July can sometimes revolve around meats, sweets, and sodas, we thought we’d remind you that your cookout doesn’t have to be bad for you. Especially when we’ve got everything in the store that you need for a delicious Summer feast.

Most of us around here spend the 4th with our extended family lounging around in lawn chairs near the grill while the kids play ball, followed by fireworks once it’s dark. In that spirit, we made sure to stock everything you need for grilling. Grass-fed and organic ground beef, brats, hot dogs, plus the condiments, marinades, and seasonings you need to make it as yummy as possible. We’ve even got gluten free hot dog and hamburger buns.

A super simple marinade that we love is one cup of Bragg’s Vinaigrette with one cup of Coconut Secret Coconut Aminos. Try soaking your steaks in that before throwing them on the grill.

There are also plenty of options for cool Summer desserts. Gluten free ice cream sandwiches anyone? What about fruit salad made with TruWhip Natural Whipped Topping? If it’s us, we’ll probably have one of each.

If you’re really trying to stick with truly nourishing foods, this time of year is perfect for grilled corn on the cob, or keeping it simple with fresh fruits like nectarines or mangos. Plus we have limes to add to your water or sweet tea, and wonderful fresh Poblano peppers for grilling or stuffing.

Come visit us and we can help you find what you need for the 4th of July without the busyness, crowds, and long treks through the huge mega-mart stores. You’ll be helping support the local economy, and it will be much easier for you. Finally, we’d like to point out that most of our customers also end up becoming our friends, so we’ll actually be glad to see you, too.
