Summery Fruit Salad with Sour Cream Dressing

We love dishes like this one for vitamin packed breakfasts, snacks, and desserts. The fresh, tangy taste will have you coming back for more without any of the guilt of other sweet treats. You may even be able to persuade your kids to eat all their fruits and veggies for the day. And as another bonus, now our produce club members have yet another option of what to do with all that fruit in their basket.

Fruit Salad Ingredients:

  • 3 bananas
  • 3 peaches
  • 1 pint blackberries
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Dressing Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp. Raw Local Honey
  • 8 oz. Wallaby’s Organic European Style Sour Cream
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Chop up the fruit and place it in a big mixing bowl. Squeeze the lemon juice into the 1/4 cup of water, then stir them together. Pour the lemon water over the chopped fruit and toss the fruit so that everything is evenly coated with lemon water. This should help prevent browning.
  2. In another mixing bowl, pour the sour cream, honey, and cinnamon into the bowl and mix them with a whisk until they form a smooth, creamy texture.
  3. Before you serve the salad, divide it into individual bowls and drizzle a few spoonfuls of dressing over the top of each bowl.
