If you’re trying to fit more fruits and vegetables into your diet, one good way to do it is to drink smoothies. Blending something makes it take up less room, so you can fit a lot of produce in one big smoothie. Green smoothies are so full of nutrition that they’re one of the best options. Here’s a simple recipe for a great one.
- 3/4 cup apple slices
- 1/2 cup cucumber, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup frozen banana slices
- 1 1/2 cup coconut water
- 2 cups leafy greens, stems removed
Put the coconut water, banana slices, and kale in the blender and turn it to high. Stop when the banana pieces break up and the kale is blended in. Pour the apples and cucumber in and blend it until everything is one smooth consistency. You can stop the blender, scrape down the sides, and stir around in the bottom as you go to make sure no chunks are stuck.
